Kensington Wireless Presenter con puntero láser y 1 GB de memoria incorporada
This product is ideal for anyone who needs to do PowerPoint presentations or slide shows on a regular basis and/or at short notice.
Pros:
1. Convenient size allows you to carry it with you all the time.
2. It comes with a 1GB flash drive so you can store and deliver that vital sales pitch at the drop of a hat.
3. If you’re presenting at a venue that can provide a laptop and projector, you can stroll in with your arms swinging freely (and this presenter in your pocket)
4. The flash drive doubles as a wireless receiver, so you can control your presentation using the simple four button control panel, and from a distance of about 45 feet if necessary. (it promises 30 feet, but we got it to go much further)
5. You can flip forwards or backwards, or stop the presentation using the easy to access buttons.
6. The receiver/flash drive can be stored inside the presenter, and when in place it disables the laser pointer to avoid accidental “pointing” and therefore prolongs battery life.
7. Batteries (2 x AAA) are included, and of course are easily replaceable.
8. There’s an indicator to tell you when your battery power is low, so you can avoid the embarrassment of your thingamajig conking out in the middle of a performance.
9. Of course, it’s also a laser pointer, great for show and tell, and for shining on the face of anyone who falls asleep when you’re presenting.
Cons:
1. It’s not cheap
2. It looks cheap (sturdy yes, but its looks don’t live up to the price tag).
3. There’s no “WOW” factor when you whip it out.
4. Sometimes the internal switch gets stuck when you remove the receiver, and the pointer doesn’t work. (Just push it in and take it out again)
Overall, the pros outweigh the cons, but unless you’re using it on a regular basis and making a return on your investment, or unless you can get your company to pay for it for you, it’s hard to justify the price tag for this gizmo.

This device is a revamping of an older design that proved very successful for Kensington and they were smart to build off of that without doubt. However the con’s outweigh the pro’s here:
Pro’s:
1. Lightweight.
2. Simple to use, and get a quick and convenient use out of.
3. USB storage for storing presentations is a stroke of genius.
4. Laser pointer does come in handy. Nice touch.
5. Battery life just isn’t an issue, unless you’re doing something extreme with this.
Con’s:
1. Price point is WAY too high for such a simple device.
2. Has no air-mouse functionality but should.
3. Should come with 4GB of storage.
4. Actually has a very cheap looking build to it.
5. Cannot map the keys on this . . . hmmm.
6. Not infrared.
This is a thirty dollar device — tops! Even on sale I’d be hesitant not to shop around for something else. Kensington should’ve bit the bullet on this and delivered it to market for $45 if they were looking to make an impact with this. The price is an absolute deal killer though.

This is an update from the last version of this product but it remains merely decent. There are better designed, more compact products on the market that outperform this. The fact that they made the receiver a 1gb flash drive is interesting but in these days of extremely inexpensive flash memory, it seems like it could have been at least a 4gb-8gb drive given the total price. I would look at other brands unless this unit is on sale as while it does the job, the overall value for the money is low. Get the older model and a separate flash drive for less.

Simple battery operated laser pointer, with 1 GB data storage USB plug -in . Does what you need for a laser point for presentations. The accompanying booklet could offer a lot more information about use of the computer plug-in, but otherwise a great simple little wireless device.
